My name is Andrés Blanco and my work experience includes 17 years as an English Professor in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) at Universidad del Valle, a short time at SENA and Uniminuto and 5 years as a full-time teacher at Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC) with the communicative approach. Also, at the UCC, I was in charge of more than 20 online English courses, using LMS like BlackBoard and BrigthSpace. I earned a degree as a Specialist in Translation and I finished a master's degree at UNIR related to the use of ICTs in education.

Currently, I'm working in the B.A in teaching English as a Foreign Language at UNAD.

Additionally, I have over 5 years of work in the technical support field thanks to my computer studies. Among my duties, I have been in charge of a Language Laboratory at Universidad del Valle, where I had the opportunity to manage a computer room with different language teaching software. This has given me experience interacting with students, professors, and computer users, as well as a basic knowledge of LAN administration.  I’m proficient in word processors, spreadsheets, databases, internet browsing, forums, FTP, and basic web page design.

My second language is English but I have a basic knowledge of French. I am an enthusiastic worker, who enjoys working in a team. I would welcome the opportunity to work for your institution.
